At the moment, if you want to speed up your Magento 1.9 setup, you’re going to need a lot of work. There’s a lot of work in terms of improving code quality, setting up a working infrastructure, etc. But there is an easier solution. It’s simply to download and install and update the Magento starter theme. And all you need to do is to configure it. The advantage of this is that you can get a new website up and running with a single command. Since Magento 2.0 is completely new, it’s hard to find a starter theme with a working codebase, so you’re out of luck for now. But you can still use this one for now. Next Steps You can download the latest Magento starter theme from the official website.
That’s it! You can either install it directly into your Magento 1.9 website (if you’re using a version older than 1.9.2), or use the stand-alone starter theme that comes with all the necessary setup to start from scratch. Remember, you don’t need to install the whole starter theme. Just download the one you need and install it as you would any other theme. Lastly, you can always refer to the official Magento 2.0 Starter Theme Documentation. But remember, it’s not complete.

One of the main reasons why most people get to say they’ve upgraded to Magento 2.0, is because of the speed improvements from Magento 2.0. However, these speed improvements come at a cost – many Magento 2.0 users experience a slow site. The reason is, Magento uses certain technologies that have a different speed profile than the older version. In fact, Magento 2.0 uses a new framework, the Magento framework.
